Metal Assault - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap

Metal Assault takes that timeless AC/DC classic, making it even heavier on the colossal din of “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap.” Volume is a given. They have no qualms about testing their amps, as this is a gigantic, arena-filling sound. The atmosphere is of the essence as this chaotic, gleeful energy powers the entire experience. Drums hit with a vicious, take-no-prisoners fury. Going for this distinctive old-school style while infusing it with a polished, intense, modern sound bridges the gap between the two worlds. Everything on here is a joy to behold, for they do a fantastic job of bringing out the metallic gleam of the original while giving it even more ferocity.

From the first moment, they have a wildness to their approach. Layer upon layer enters into the fray. Things feel supersaturated, and getting lost in the swirling quality is easy. Vocals truly sell the item with their ability to rise above the rest of the song, a true feat to be admired. Considering the sheer velocity of everything else, they ensure their voices have such a force of nature. Riffs are given so much distortion of the wild variety to bring the music to the breaking point. Going for this sense of willful defiance, the song feels oddly inspiring. For the last stretch of the song, they completely and thoroughly lose it.
